About Us - Our Practitioners
Dr Susan Walker
BSc, MChiro, DIBAK
Having been in Sydney for six years and in Paddington, Brisbane, for 18 months, Susan has expanded her clinic and relocated to Gordon Park in May 2007.
At age eleven, Susan knew she wanted to become a Chiropractor.
In preparation for this she graduated Bachelor of Science (Anatomy) from University of Queensland, then moved to Sydney to complete her Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University. Whilst still a student she worked for the Department of Chiropractic tutoring and examining Chiropractic Skills. In her final year she began her training in Applied Kinesiology (AK), normally a post-graduate course. In October 2008, she became Australia's 8th practitioner to earn Diplomate of International Board of Applied Kinesiology status. Susan has assisted in the teaching of Applied Kinesiology and Retained Neonatal Reflexes over the past six years and has contributed to Applied Kinesiology research advancing our knowledge of Retained Neonatal Reflexes and postural reflex patterns.
Susan has outstanding credentials and experience in dealing with a wide range of health issues. She specialises in a holistic approach using Applied Kinesiology, meridian clearing, muscle balancing, cranial adjusting, and gentle manipulation.
Susan has a further specialty in paediatrics, attracting children with learning delays, behavioural problems, and developmental concerns.
Having always been intruiged by the puzzling complexities of the human body, Susan’s aim is to unlock the hidden potential of each person she treats.

Dr Heidi Hedstrom
BA, Dr Chiropractic
Dr Heidi Hedstrom is originally from Wisconsin, USA. She has been under chiropractic care since the age of three.
As Heidi started her university studies, becoming a chiropractor was an obvious choice given her strong belief in the power chiropractic has on maximizing the body’s capabilities.
Heidi graduated with distinction in language studies and pre-medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, before beginning a five-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the birthplace of chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, USA. While studying, Heidi also worked in the chiropractic research facility, as well as in the Palmer Chiropractic Clinics as a teaching assistant. In her final year, Heidi participated in a Clinic Abroad Mission trip to Brazil, where she helped bring chiropractic to those in need of health care. Heidi earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Honours.
After finishing her degree, Heidi moved to Australia to work in Adelaide, where she is known for her caring, patient manner and her gentle adjustments. Heidi is well trained in many adjusting techniques, such as Activator, Thompson Technique, Gonstead Technique and Diversified Technique. Cameron Sowden
Kinesiologist
Before his career as a Kinesiologist, Cameron was as an Electronics Engineer. Five years after graduating a double degree in Information Technology and Electronics Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) he made the decision to leave the Engineering profession in search of his passion.
A short while later he had his first Kinesiology session with Guy Bennett (founder and teacher of Cranial Kinesiology) who introduced Cameron to Cranial Kinesiology and the many other Kinesiology courses that he facilitated. Upon attending the courses he was amazed at how naturally and easily he picked up the healing techniques.
Cameron eagerly studied everything he could to advance his skills and satisfy a thirst to know all there was to know in order to become the best Kinesiologist he could. His Kinesiology studies include Neural Organisation Technique, Learning Enhancement Advanced Program, Cranial Kinesiology, Anatomy and Physiology of the Brain, Brain Formatting, 8 Extra Meridian & Genetic Hologram, Chakra Hologram and many more.
His passion for healing is fueled by the thrill he gets from seeing people’s lives improve as a result of his work.
Outside of his professional life Cameron is married to wife Melinda and has two young daughters, Jada and Lily. He has maintained a keen interest in Martial Arts for the last 13 years and competed at a high level in Thai Boxing before having children. He still trains in Thai Boxing to maintain health and teaches privately from home.
Cameron is very excited to be joining the Your Body Works team and extends a warm and open invitation for all to utilise his services.

Terry Hutchinson
Acupuncturist
Terry began practice over 20 years ago in Brisbane in 1988, initially specialising in the treatment of sporting injuries. With the advent of growing family Terry left the natural therapies field for a time and pursued a successful career in the corporate world, rising to the position of General Manager in a significant Australian public company. As such, Terry well and truly understands the stress of consistently performing in high pressure environments.
Terry returned to Acupuncture and now works from two busy clinics, one based in Kedron, and the other nearby as part of the Your Body Works team in Gordon Park. His main interests include firstly, his family, with his wife Shanelle also a very successful and experienced acupuncturist, and his 3 kids, Jasmin (a nurse), Rick (uni student) and Tess (at school).
Terry likes to stay reasonably fit so on a regular basis he cycles, paddles a surf ski, surfs, and plays touch football. Indeed he has had a close association with sport over the years and has played or coached at high levels: Rugby League, Rugby Union, Surf Boat Rowing, Touch Football (Australian Representative), and distance performance (completed half marathons).
These days his number one passion is helping his patients through acupuncture, sound advice and gentle care.
He constantly updates his knowledge and skills thorough attending courses and seminars, and through avid reading of published articles and texts.
Terry’s aim is to help you live the life that you want to lead.
